Pledge events

In London these have included a public signing and a procession on 4 July from Downing Street to the US Embassy - Independence from America! Many other events and training days have taken place around the country - see the Pledge newsletter. Please let us know about any Pledge-related actions that you're organising so that we can help publicise them. The Pledge is dependent upon your taking the initiative if it is to be a success.

Ideas
Organise a public pledge signings, show a video (contact Media Workers Against the War and Voices in the Wilderness for videos), hold a public meeting, organise a die-in or sit-down at the war memorial or a shopping area, do a banner hang from a prominent building, occupy an MP's office, blockade a base, invade a recruiting office, lock-on to, or pour blood at, entrances to any of the above!

If you would like to organise a local Pledge meeting, contact us to be put in touch with local pledgers - we can circulate the time and venue for your first/next local meeting.
