We will be holding a protest rally in Centenary Square,
at 5pm on the day bombing starts. Bradford Stop the War

Brighton Stop
the City Stop the War. Meet 5.30pm in Churchill Square the

Bristol
Stop the City. On the evening following the outbreak of
war meet at the Bristol peace Vigil. Mon-Fri 5:30-6:30pm
& Sat 3:00-4:00pm. Bristol City Centre. Opposite the Hippodrome.

Cambridge - Meet in the Market Square at 12 noon the
day after war breaks out (bring pots and pans or something
to make a noise with). At 1pm we will march to the war memorial
with a white poppy wreath. Assemble again at 6pm for a protest
and vigil outside the Guildhall in the Market Square. email,

Coventry - a vigil will be also
be held on the steps of the Old Coventry Cathedral 6-7pm.
Edinburgh - gathering at Scottish Parliament (provisional)
RAF Fairford - as many people as possible to Fairford
to blockade the base - munitions are stored off site at
Welford and have to be brought in by road. Continued presence

Glasgow - The Scottish
Coalition for Justice Not War plan to hold a sit-down
protest the Saturday after an attack on Iraq, from middar
in George Square.
Hastings - gather between 4-6pm at the
Town Hall for a march to the local Labour Party Constituency
Office where there will be a noisy protest and blockade.

Hereford Sabotage the War Effort. On the day after
the war "officially" begins. Meet 9am at Hereford train
station to engage in civil disobedience against the war.

Lancaster - 24-hr protest - go to Market Square where

Leicester Don't Attack Iraq - Stop The City. On the
day following a first attack on Iraq why not take the day
off/ phone in sick for a protest in Leicester town centre
at 8am. There will also be a demonstration at the Clock
Tower between 5:30pm and 8pm. Leicester

Newcastle - gather at the Monument in central Newcastle
6pm on the evening of any escalated attack on Iraq. (If
news of an attack does not come out until later in the afternoon,
the vigil will be at 6pm on the next day.) web.
Northmapton From 17:00 onwards, BBC Radio Northampton,
Abington Street. Bring placards, candles, costumes, and
musical instruments. There will also be a group of people
organising some non-violent direct action. Organised by

Oswestry, Shropshire. On the day war starts (if war
is announced before 9am, otherwise meet the next day) meet
12 noon at the Friends Meeting House, Oak Street for a march
through the town with banners and a silent vigil at Festival

Oxford

the next day. Gather at Carfax Tower for protest, open mic,
and nonviolent direct action. Bring: banners, music, voices,
inspiration, anger etc... (If war is declared AFTER 6pm,
meet up at 12 AND 6pm the NEXT day, but people are also
encouraged to get out on the streets when it happens.)
Portsmouth - Rally from 18:00 onwards, Guildhall
Square (or the following evening if it begins at night).
Organised by Portsmouth Stop the War Coalition.
Sheffield On the day war is declared gather from
4.30pm gather at the Town Hall steps in Sheffield city centre.
And on the first weekday morning after the above early morning
demo meeting at 7.30am at Devonshire Green. Bring a bike
if you have one but don't worry if you don't. Bring banners,
placards, whistles. On the first Saturday after the attack
gather at Barkers' Pool at 12 noon for a 'spontaneous' demonstration.

Citizens' Weapons Inspectorate
Taunton, Somerset Weekly, from 11:00 to 14:00, Front
of Market House Taunton Centre Mass peace vigil/rally for
all Taunton Deane anti-war groups and people, supported
by stall/s dishing out materials and taking petition signatures
etc. Organised by Taunton Deane Stop-the-War Coalition.
